Utoppia provides a prepaid card. A prepaid card is a payment card that is pre-loaded with funds. Unlike credit cards, prepaid cards use your own money, so there’s no borrowing or interest involved. It’s a convenient way to manage spending or make payments while controlling your balance.
To make purchases, you need to load money from your USD account, and the funds are credited to the card balance instantly. You will be able to make purchases in your local currency to a very competitive conversion rate. Please take into account that once you have the funds loaded in the prepaid card, the amount of USD loaded will not be covered or insured by any entity whatsoever. That means that the funds held in the card balance are not secured by FDIC.
Our card issuer is Payblr, a payment facilitator located in Puerto Rico for the Latin American market, which will allow you to access a prepaid VISA card. With this card, you will be able to make purchases through all the networks and payment methods enabled by VISA.
You can only spend the amount you load, helping with budgeting, and you can freeze and unfreeze the card instantly, ensuring protection against unauthorized use.
The prepaid card is issued in Puerto Rico.
The enabled countries are Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Perú, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador y México.
It’s a simple process with just a few steps! Through the app, you just need to click on the "ACTIVATE MY CARD" section, and you will immediately have the benefit activated.
