How do I open my Utoppia account?

You can open your account directly from your phone. To get started, make sure you meet these simple requirements:

âś… Be at least 18 years old

âś… Have a valid passport from one of our supported countries*

âś… Not already have a Utoppia account

âś… Have a residential address in one of our supported countries

âś… Own a smartphone and a mobile number from your country of residence.

Once you sign up, we’ll ask you to take a photo of your ID and a quick video selfie to verify your identity. That’s it. Your journey begins.

*If you're in the U.S., you may also use a valid state-issued driver’s license or ID card.

Once your identity is confirmed, you might be asked for additional information to complete legal requirements. After that, your account is ready to receive payments, pay bills, and more ,in USD, from anywhere.

Where do I have to live and which valid identity documents and phone numbers does Utoppia support?

Utoppia supports users from the following countries:

To open your account:

  • You must have a valid passport from one of these countries
  • Your residential address must be in one of these countries
  • Your phone number must match your country of residence (e.g., if you live in Mexico, you need a Mexican number)

If you live in the U.S., you can use a valid U.S. driver’s license or state-issued ID card.

Do I have to travel to open my account with Utoppia?

No, to open your account with Utoppia you don’t need to travel; all you have to do is download our app and register with a valid identity document from a supported country.

If I used to have an account previously with Utoppia, do I need to do anything?

Yes, and it's very simple! You need to log into the app using your credentials and upload the documentation, ensuring you meet the following requirements:

  • Have a valid identity document (passport) from a supported country.*
  • Your address has to match with the country of the supported passport.
  • Once your identity is verified, you may be required to provide additional information and accept the legal disclosure. After completing any necessary steps, you’ll be able to deposit funds and use your Utoppia account!

*To open an account with Utoppia, you must have a valid identity document (passport) from one of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador, Mexico, India, Spain, Italy, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, United States, France and United Kingdom. Also, you have to have an address in any one of these countries.

Why am I unable to sign up?

If you're unable to register, check these common reasons:

❌ You're under 18
❌ You already have a Utoppia account
❌ Your passport is not from a supported country
❌ Your phone number doesn’t match your current country
❌ Your device is incompatible, or you didn’t complete ID verification

To sign up, make sure you:

  • Have a valid passport from a supported country*

  • Provide a residential address in one of those countries

  • Verify your identity with a selfie video and document scan

  • Complete all legal onboarding steps

*U.S. residents can also use a government-issued driver’s license or ID.

✨ Good to know: If you live in a supported country but your passport is from another, you can join our waitlist directly in the app. We’ll notify you when we launch in your region.

What are the fees for the Utoppia account?

Accessing an Utoppia account is completely free! The only fee is the inactivity fee of USD 3 per month. It will only apply if:

  • You haven't made any transactions on the account or card in the last 6 months.
  • Your account balance is less than 500.
How do I download the Utoppia app on my smartphone?

You can find the Utoppia app on the App Store and Google Play in these countries:

Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Perú, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Ecuador, México, India, Spain, Italy, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, United States, France, and the United Kingdom.

Just search for “Utoppia” and start your journey to global financial freedom.

Why don't I see my previous balance?

If you had a balance and you see it at zero after our relaunch, don't worry:

In order for us to send the funds, you must send an email to support@utoppia.com with the subject “Balance Withdrawal” informing the beneficiary account details with the following information:

-Full name of the recipient

-Account number

-Name of the bank (Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc.)

-Account type (checking/savings)

-Routing number

Please note that the withdrawal will be processed at the end of the month through regular ACH, so the crediting period may be 3 to 5 business days.

Where can I find my account details?

You can find your account details written on your account statement or under the “Profile” → “Account Details” section in the app. In the same section, you’ll be able to share your account details with your contacts.

How do I download my account statements?

Monthly statements are available on the first business day of each month and you can download them from the application by following these steps: “Profile” → “Monthly statements”.
